Sed siempre humildes y amables, sed comprensivos, sobrellevaos mutuamente con amor; esforzaos en mantener la unidad del Espíritu con el vínculo de la paz. Un solo cuerpo y un solo Espíritu, como una sola es la esperanza de la vocación a la que habéis sido convocados. Un Señor, una fe, un bautismo. Un Dios, Padre de todo, que lo trasciende todo, y lo penetra todo, y lo invade todo.

Yo, el prisionero por el Señor, que tantas veces he sido perseguido por anunciarlo y he cambiado tanto gracias a su palabra, te pido que andes como pide la vocación a la que se te ha llamado. Porque Dios te ha llamado, claro que sí. Sé humilde y amable, intenta comprender a los otros, y cuando alguna relación sea difícil, trata de sobrellevarla con amor. Esfuérzate en mantener la unidad del espíritu con el vínculo de la paz, porque de críticas, descalificaciones y dureza ya vamos muy sobrados. Aunque tenga distintas concreciones, todos hemos sido llamados a vivir una misma vocación: hacer la voluntad de Dios. Y eso te une a tantos otros hombres y mujeres. Tener al mismo Señor, compartir la misma fe, participar en el mismo bautismo. Orar a un Dios, padre de todo, que lo trasciende todo, y lo penetra todo, y lo invade todo.
